CD Cover Photo - Charlie & Denny

This photo was taken almost thirty years ago. Ron Patullo occasionally rode with the Lovicks, first with Jack then later with Charlie. A keen photographer, Ron took his camera up to Mt King Billy to take some shots. While a mist came rolling in, Ron captured this spectacular shot of Charlie on his favourite horse Denny, without a saddle, jumping a large log. So beautiful is this photo, it has often been mistaken for a painting. Denny's tail sweeps behind him like a brushstroke and the gentle focus and mist adds an element of mystery. Charlie and his wife Glenda both speak of Denny on "High Country Life". He was a horse famed not only for his role in "The man from Snowy River" movie but also for his incredible ability as a working horse in the harsh conditions of Victoria's high country.
